Using the app without an account

When you use Part 107 Prep without signing in, your profile details, study progress, answers, scores, reminders, and aircraft details remain on your device unless you explicitly create and share a backup file.

Optional accounts and cloud backup

If you choose to sign in with Apple or email, Supabase processes the email address or Apple account identifier needed to authenticate you. The app uploads a private study backup so your progress can be restored on another device.

Study progress, answers, scores, and settings are included. Optional profile, testing-center, FAA Tracking Number, and aircraft details are excluded unless you separately turn on Sync personal details. This information is used only to provide account and synchronization features.

Optional personal details

The app can store an optional name, FAA Tracking Number, testing-center details, and aircraft details. These fields are not required. They are protected in the iOS Keychain, accessible only while the device is unlocked, and can be edited or removed in My details.

Your choices

You can sign out without deleting study data stored on your device. You can permanently delete your account, its synced backup, and local study data from My details. Deleting the app by itself does not delete an online account.

Backup files

User-created backup files are human-readable JSON and contain study history. Personal profile details are excluded by default and included only when you explicitly enable that option. Backup files are not encrypted by the app; store them only somewhere you trust.

External websites

The app opens official FAA, PSI, and reference websites only when you choose a link. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies.
